New animated film spotlights the work of our neighbourhood policing teams
We’d like to invite you take a look at our new animated film about neighbourhood policing, which we’re sharing across our social media channels to help explain the work of our neighbourhood policing teams.
Neighbourhood policing enables a grass roots partnership between the local community and our teams, where officers can really get to know and be known in their local community, understand the issues that are affecting people’s feelings of safety and quality of life, and work with partner agencies to tackle the issues that matter most to local people.
The four minute film provides a simple overview of neighbourhood policing in our county, how it compares to other areas of policing and the role of our neighbourhood officers and PCSOs.
The animation is intended to be a fun way to explain this important part of policing that often doesn’t have the same profile as other functions but is critical to policing and communities. We want people to know there is a team of officers allocated to their local area, who they can contact to raise any concerns they have about local crime and policing issues.
