Dear residents

 

I hope this email finds yourselves and loved ones all well.

Police would like to kindly remind that as you may all be aware from social media and news that our riverbanks have reached and gone above the maximum capacity resulting in extreme flooding around the county.

 

Please be mindful, under any circumstances to attempt to drive or walk through flooded areas, we would like to remind you that our Emergency Services are at its full capacity.

 

Please avoid flooded areas, do not attempt to drive to these locations as this can and will cause unnecessary obstructions. Try and avoid these locations if possible.

 

For those that have a more adventurous set of mind, PLEASE, under any circumstances attempt to do any outdoor water activities , this is very irresponsible of anyone that are willing to put themselves at risk and our emergency services too

 

Do take a few moments when driving on our country roads, there may be hidden obstacles that may cause unnecessary and very unpleasant surprises, lets all try to stay as safe as possible.

 

Please do take time to reflect on this email, I can only stress the valid concerns that ee have witnessed and public bring to our attention.
