Crime Stoppers Campaign

Crimestoppers is working in partnership with the Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU), and the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), on a campaign supported by Amazon, to raise awareness of the direct, personal harms and dangers associated with buying fake goods.


In this third and final phase of a year long national campaign we aim to inform the public and encourage reporting on those responsible for this crime, with a particular focus on fake electronics and toys.


Counterfeit goods are unregulated, hazardous to health, inferior quality, and aim to dupe buyers into a false sense of having bagged a great deal on reputable brand products. Together we can protect consumers from the harms of buying fake goods.


This third phase runs on social media from 12 October 2023 - 14 February 2024.
