Christmas Card Amnesty

Christmas Card Amnesty for St Barnabas Hospice

Following previous years' successes, we thought we’d repeat the Christmas Card Amnesty for Easton. As an alternative to sending local cards to fellow villagers, put your name on a list of well-wishers that will be published via the "What's on the Hill" email list and on a poster in a prominent window (mine).  For a minimum donation of £10 per household, your name will be added to the list that wishes everyone in Easton on the Hill a Happy Christmas and makes it clear that you won't be sending local (village) cards this year.

I hope those of you who want to take part in this will again agree that the most appropriate Charity to benefit from this is 'Tour de Sands', in memory of Sandra Watson. All proceeds will however be passed on to our sole beneficiary, St Barnabas Hospice, to support their marvellous "Hospice at Home" work.

You can pay via Paypal (at no additional cost to you). Just get your credit card out and go to: https://www.paypal.me/timtourdesands

Alternatively just drop your cash in to me at 16 Church Street, with your name. No additional message is needed or will be published, or if you know my bank details, make a transfer.

This is in no way intended to discourage those who prefer to send real cards from doing so, but please make your choice - village cards as usual or join the Amnesty for Tour de Sands by December 17th.

Either way, we will all find our own way to wish one another a Merry Christmas.

Compliments of the Season,

Tim Nicol
