Rural crime emerging trend

This message is being sent out as you have either opted to be in a rural group or live in one.

Since the start of the year we have seen an increase in sheep handling kits including items like hurdles, weigh scales, gates etc being stolen with the latest being in Marston Trussell and Clipston in the last 24 hours.

Please mark up all your kit where appropriate to make it identifiable and less attractive to thieves. This can be done by welding, painting or using a product such as Cremark which allows for property to be marked almost indefinitiely.

Please also report anything suspicious in regards to vehicles driving around remote rural locations or onto farms and if in doubt please ask to speak to one of your local Neighbourhood Team or a member of the Rural Crime Team.

kind regards

Abbey Anstead

Sergeant 1248 Rural Crime Team.
