The Big Squeeze!
The annual communal apple squeezing takes place on Saturday 29th September in The Bluebell garden.
This year there should be a big apple harvest. So, simply turn up on the day from around 10am with apples, chopping boards, a knife, demijohns, buckets, crates, etc.
Alex will provide a rustic lunch for participants.
You can take away a gallon of juice to drink or ferment and perhaps enter the Cider Competition in January where some of the cider has been almost drinkable in past years!
The Big Squeeze is supported by Easton's Horticultural Society and any funds raised go towards equipment for future squeezing events.
Any questions, speak to Joy Forster - 07718 900007.
The Bluebell is hosting a pub quiz on the 12th of September starting at 7.30 pm. Entry is £5 per person and maximum per team is 4. The winners will receive a meal voucher at the pub. There is a supper included (with a vegetarian choice if required) and part of the money raised will go to the charity of choice of the winning team. Please pop into the Bluebell and book or call Alex on 01780 763003. Any questions please ask me.
Tour de Sands is running another one day ride on Sunday Sept 30th. There are options for around 30 or around 60 miles on largely quiet roads, starting and finishing at Borderville Sports Centre, Stamford. The long route goes north to Grantham, and returns via the same pit stops as the shorter route, in Bourne and Market Deeping. All are welcome, cost is £10 for the shorter route, £20 for the longer. For more details email email@example.com .

Astonishing that we have to consider the next issue now but indeed we must. Due to a squeeze on the production schedule, the deadline for copy is OCTOBER 1st for the November & December magazine. The front-of-mag focus will be on Christmas so if you have any diary dates that you want to shout about or if you'd like to especially focus on your festive events with a full page booking or a cover sponsorship for £40, then please get in touch asap. I've attached our new rate card for any new advertisers too, please feel free to pass this on to anyone who may be interested.
