Just to add to the frivolity, fun, and fundraising, the famously hirsuite, much decorated, Protector of the Public, Quizmaster, and Ambassador for Nottingham Forest FC, Ian "Mr Barraclough" Coupe will be having his not inconsiderable locks removed in public on Monday 25th afternoon. Donate, sponsor, watch, laugh, and revel in the new style "Coupe" - could this be his "Coup de Grace"?
The 18th Annual Easton on the Hill Village Gala will, as usual, take place across 5 days of the late May Bank Holiday in 2026. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of our fine hosts Alex and Cinzia’s tenure at the Blue Bell, and we plan to make this Gala one to remember and to celebrate their hard work and support for the village over the years. This will be the last Gala in its current format, so we hope everyone will make a special effort to support it and share in the enjoyment over the 5-day programme:

Just a few reminders: - Drinks will be served in rigid souvenir plastic glasses for £1.00- feel free to bring your own glasses if you prefer. (pints should be stamped)
- The doors for Eastons' Got Talent will not open until 7.00pm but you will be able to get drinks beforehand from the serving area outside. Hope you are coming along- there are a record 12 acts from the village taking part! £5.00 on the door adults, £3 children.
- The Blue Bell Restaurant will be closed for normal service from Thursday evening- Monday.
- The Pub will be shut on Tuesday 26th for clearing up. Reopen Wednesday 27th.
MORE SUPPORT NEEDED FOR THESE EVENTS IN PARTICULAR - Have a clearout and take a pitch at the Car Boot Sale on Saturday 23rdmorning. Great opportunity to shift some stuff, especially for those who don’t normally “do boots”. £10 a pitch, contact rsjames1@outlook.com to book a pitch.
- See how much your valuables might be worth- we will have a local valuer and auctioneer from Batemans for our very own version of "Antiques Roadshow" at the Car Boot sale to advise you. Just bring your stuff along.
- Donate a bottle or two to the massive Bottle Tombola. Let Kevin Cox at 1 Western Avenue have them.
- Buy Raffle Tickets! £250 cash prize plus lots of other prizes like Afternoon tea at The George of Stamford, vouchers for Family Days out, and £75 worth of meat from our local Sunnyside Farm. Tickets are £2.00 this year, buy a book of 5 for a tenner! All funds raised go to support our local community groups in Easton. All local groups should have some to sell, or they are available in Easton Stores and in the Blue Bell.
