Resident survey

We have had quite a good response so far, thank you to those that have completed a survey.

We still want some more completed surveys though, please, to give the Parish Council some representative feedback and ideas for future priorities and actions.  Here is the QR code that takes you directly to the survey - it only takes a few minutes to complete.  Alternatively, there are paper copies in the shop and being delivered to your address. or the link is https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HSD75ZY

Essential First Aid training - including defibrillators

The Parish Council is organising St John's Ambulance to carry out some refresher first aid training for residents.  They just ask for a donation.  It will be held in the village hall on Wednesday 15th April 2026 at 7pm, for approx. 1.5 hours. All welcome.

Reporting potholes and other highway issues

North Northamptonshire Council have launched their system for reporting.

Highways Online Reporting Tool (HORT)
The quickest and most effective way for residents to report potholes and other highway issues is through the Highways Online Reporting Tool (HORT). By encouraging the public to use HORT, you’ll be helping issues reach the right team faster. You can also get updates of road closures and traffic management in your area.
Using HORT is simple: just enter a North Northamptonshire postcode, street name and area, what3words location, or an existing report number. An interactive map makes it easy to pinpoint the exact spot, and residents can upload a photo too (if it’s safe to take one). Once submitted, the Highways team will review and investigate.

For emergencies: if there is an immediate danger to road users (such as severe flooding or a hazardous pothole), please call: 0300 126 3000

Old trophies and sports cups etc
The Parish Council is storing a large number of old cricket trophies in their container, acquired when the old cricket club folded and were not cleared/collected. They will be having a clear out shortly and ask that anyone who wants to retrieve one, or knows someone who might want to, to please contact the Clerk.

The next meeting is on 9th March 2026 at 7pm in the village hall. Items for discussion and decision will include the final hire agreements for football and cricket, the Grounds Maintenance Contract, the grant received for play equipment improvements at The Close and some initial survey results. All welcome to attend and raise issues in public participation at the start.
