Annual PARISH meeting (APM)

This year's APM will be on Monday 22/4/24 at 7.30pm in the village hall.  This is a chance for residents to attend and raise any item or concern for the Parish Council to consider.  Residents can also hear about Parish Council and village group activities over the last year and plans for the future.  All residents and village clubs/groups are welcome - please contact the clerk tel 07889669550 or email clerk@eastononthehill-pc.gov.uk for more details or just turn up. Light refreshments will be available.  See you there!

Collection by the Post Office/store

The Post Office collected £200 in the boxes in their shop and have given it to the Parish Council.  In order to find a good cause, and one that the residents support, please let the Parish Councillors have your suggestions and ideas for what to spend it on.  There has been some suggestions already via the Parish Council Facebook pages (Parish Clerk and Easton on the Hill Playing Field) but there is still time to send yours. Please email suggestions@eastononthehill-pc.gov.uk or use the details above by 9pm on 8/4/24. Thank you.

Immediate Justice scheme

Northants police and local authorities are a trial for a new scheme to refer some offenders via an "Immediate Justice" scheme, intended to give an opportunity for perpetrators to "give back" for a community offence they have committed. Some anti-social behaviour offenders have already performed some community tasks and it has been a benefit to both the community and the person involved.  Easton on the Hill Parish Council met with the team to see what work could be offered and we will be on the list for the future - offenders are always accompanied.  If a village group has any known opportunities ie church clean, planting, gardening etc, please do forward details to the Clerk, details above.

Parish Councillor vacancy

There is a Parish Councillor vacancy up for grabs for a keen, community spirited person with a few hours a month to spare.  No experience is necessary and training is provided.  There are many projects and working groups that you might be interested in like trees and greens/bio-diversity, traffic working group, planning or just the monthly meetings.  Contact the Clerk if you are interested in finding out more.

Jenny Rice, Clerk to the Parish Council.
